Do you need research papers for EB-1A?

A post from a while back (source):

You don’t need to publish research papers to qualify for an EB1-A.

That is not to say that you don’t need to be well-regarded and have an influential role within a well-regarded company.

A lot of clients I work with have actually never been published or done any research (most are executives at well-known companies and you’re not really expected to have done research or published anything as a seasoned executive).

That is not to say that you don’t need to meet the other EB1-A criteria.

You still need to show extraordinary ability and be able to show evidence to meet three of the 10 EB1-A criteria.

As for how long an EB1-A might take to get approved, processing times can vary but in my experience it is possible to get approved in as quickly as three weeks.
