Where can you find these conversations?
At places and events where you will find other top professionals in your field who are always looking for industry experts. For example:
Local chapter events of professional organizations.
Conferences.
Workshops.
How can you start these conversations?
Ask the people you meet about how they are contributing to the field, and then ask about ways you can help them with whatever they are doing to contribute to their field.
For example, if the person you are speaking to brings up that they are helping with organizing a conference, you could ask if they are looking for speakers, and then talk about how you have the expertise to speak on the topics covered in the conference. You could even offer to introduce people you know who may have relevant expertise.
Focus on helping others in your field by sharing your expertise and making introductions, and you will start to get considered for opportunities that can strengthen your EB-1A profile.
