On an EB-1A approval in semiconductors

Got another EB-1A approval.

Five criteria accepted.

A super strong case.

Our client had a specific specialization within chip development.

They were also able to:

— Show a record of working for leading companies in the field.
— Show original contributions to the field through original research (they had less than 500 citations but were able to show publications in a really niche field).

We claimed critical role, original contributions, authorship, membership, judge, and media.

Authorship was likely accepted on the basis that they had a high number of citations and high quality publications. For industry profiles, USCIS does not usually expect more than 100.

For membership, we highlighted their position on the board of a professional association in the field.

For media, they had several media spots where they were highlighted alongside several impressive people in the field, in industry-specific publications (clearly not paid).

No RFE and the case was approved in 15 calendar days even over the holidays.
