EB-2 NIW for an Actuary
Post (source):
Another approval, this time for an NIW in the actuarial sciences space.
No RFE too.
The angle we focused on for this case was my client’s work as an actuary for a company that helps structure healthcare plans at the national level. We were able to show that her work had a direct impact on the U.S. labor force and healthcare system.
It also helped that she graduated from a U.S. university with a STEM degree. This is just conjecture on my part, but it seems like USCIS is starting to favor applicants with STEM backgrounds from U.S. universities, even if they are just master’s degrees and not necessarily PhDs.
Will report more on this trend once I learn more.
