EB-2 NIW - it’s not just about credentials

Post (source):

Credentials alone won’t get you NIW.

A strong NIW case relies on showing how a candidate’s work will have national impact in the future.

It’s not so much about the past and what the candidate has done in the past, but what the candidate will do with their current skills in the future that will have a national impact on the U.S.

It’s why top-notch credentials alone won’t get you NIW.

So as an attorney, focus on how an applicant’s top-notch credentials will help make a national impact on areas of national interest in the near future.

To do so you need to outline a candidate’s past achievements and credentials, but don’t get so wrapped up in how good they are now that you forget the most important parts of the case.

It’s the “how” in regards to having a national impact on an area of national interest that matters.
