On a recent EB-1A approval

Here’s a post by immigration lawyer Amber Davis on a recent EB-1A approval:

It took one day.

One day for his EB-1A to get approved.

When we first started working together, our client was not sure if he qualified for EB-1A.

He’s a top IT consultant with 20 years of experience, has a lot of experience in machine learning and AI, and works for a top consulting company. He’s also led and currently leads several top IT projects for top U.S. companies.

He thought he needed publications and when we first looked at his resume, it did not look like he qualified for EB-1A. Only after speaking over a consultation did we realize that he could potentially meet three or more criteria and would be able to show that he had risen to the top of his field. A lot of clients we work with initially do not appear to have a strong EB-1A case until we speak over a consultation. Most “tech” resumes just don’t match up with the EB-1A criteria.

He ended up meeting five criteria including the membership criterion, and his case was approved without an RFE.
