On job title and EB-1A

Here’s a post by immigration lawyer Amber Davis on job title and EB-1A:

A strong job title may not be enough for EB-1A.

You can be a Director, for example, at your company but have not received significant recognition for your expertise in a specific field, which is something you want to be able to show as part of your EB-1A profile.

That being said, if you have received significant recognition for your expertise in a specific field, then you may still be able to build a strong case even without say an executive level job title. For example, you could be a widely recognized expert in some niche technical field in AI (while being in an individual contributor role at your company), not be a CTO of a top company in the field of AI, and still be able to present a strong EB-1A case.
